July 31, 2012, Tsega was murdered by a boyfriend. Her body was found near Lake Merritt. She wasn’t the most helpful chalker due to her drinking problem but she was loved nonetheless and had a cool sense of fashion. Sadly, her story was one of a life destroyed by alcohol and hard knocks. I made the design above but didn’t want to chalk it because I saw Chalkupy as political and Tsega’s death wasn’t directly political.
